Yes, the Xalan distribution comes with xerces.jar in it; unless you
explicitly have another parser lying around, we'll use Xerces.  Xalan
can also use Crimson (another Apache parser) or any other
JAXP-compliant parser.

Xerces parser questions are best answered on the
[EMAIL PROTECTED] list, so you might want to ask this
question there.
