I have completed some benchmarking of various combinations of the Xalan/Xerces or Crimson packages and have attached my results.
Notes:
- DNF = did not finish (I couldn't wait around that long)
- The memory footprint is very rough as it was obtained using Runtime.freeMemory()
- I only tested on 1 file size of .133Mb
- For the Xerces1.x versions, I'm not sure what sub(1) version of Xerces they are.
- during one of the runs (labelled bad run), I believe I had another process running that caused the poor performance time.
