So what was the resolution on the phone home thread that was posted as recently
as may 5(see original message below)? I am having a similar problem with
Castor(I know this isn't a castor list, but I think this is all part of the
same issue dealing with xerces--I know this isn't a xerces list either, but I
picked up the thread from here).

I had a doctype declaration:

<!DOCTYPE mapping PUBLIC "-//EXOLAB/Castor Object Mapping DTD Version 1.0//EN"

and the app was throwing a java.net.UnknownHostException: castor.exolab.org

It looks like it was trying to go to the SYSTEM location and pull the
mapping.dtd. My question, is why did this start happening? Until I downloaded
xalan-j_2_3_1-bin.zip on May 3rd, I had never had this problem. The
mapping.dtd still exists on my system in the same place.

I am using castor 0.9.3.9 if that makes a difference.

Any help?

Just curious why Xalan tries to contact the W3C transform url when it's parsing
a stylesheet. xmlns:xsl="<http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform>
