Mike's description of our architecture is somewhat outdated. We went from
DOM to an early version of DTM to STree (when he wrote the book) and since
then have returned to a revised descendent of DTM.

His book is still an excellent reference on how to write XSLT stylesheets
-- a few errors have been found, but not many. But it's not a good place to
look for details on how today's implementations of XSLT actually operate.
Code evolves much more rapidly than hardcopy books can.
