I'm hoping we'll start doing some of that this year, actually... I'd hoped
to see some of it last year, but XDM has been taking much more effort than
anticipated.

But in fact I was mostly pointing to those since the discussion of them
also included some suggestions for things one might be able to do in the
meantime, such as the manual filtering and splitting possibilities Simon
suggested.

We should probably turn this into an entry on our FAQ page, until and
unless we have improved Xalan's source model handling.
