Thanks for the observation. We created Xalan distribution using xercesImpl.jar from xerces distribution for windows xerces-j-bin.2.6.2.zip. So far, we haven't got any report about functional failure caused by different builds of xercesImpl.jar. It should be OK for you to change the xercesImpl.jar bundled with Xalan2.6.2 from the one distributed with xerces-j-bin.2.6.2.tar.gz

Hi,

I have just downloaded xalan-j 2.6.0. According to the documentation,
the version of xerces-j that is bundled with it is 2.6.2.

However the xercesImpl.jar file in the Xalan download is 1010806 bytes,
while the one provided in the direct xerces-j-2.6.2 download is 1010675
bytes.

The xml-apis.jar file bundled with xalan-j 2.6.0 *is* identical to the
one included in xerces-j 2.6.0.

The full name of the file I downloaded is: xalan-j_6_0_0-bin.tar.gz.
