Also, and a better answer in the long term, we were going to switch Xylem over to running against the XDM interfaces rather than accessing DTM directly, then implement XDM directly over DOM (basically the same logic as DOM2DTM2, but should be considerably cleaner). Unfortunately, I don't think we have prototypes of that which are ready for prime time on Apache.
