I am currently using the latest release (2.6.0), but ran into the issue described in bug xalanj-2058 (<xsl:apply-imports/> not working correctly under compiled version). It was fixed in February 2005, but I cannot find a recent nightly build for xalan-j. Is a new release scheduled soon? I would prefer not to have to download and build the latest CVS source.
