Hi Coach,

Thanks for your reply. I was trying to deploy the application to tomcat by
running ant deploy-examples, and copying the xap folder created in staging
to webapps. But, when I try to run any of the examples, it shows javascript
errors like "Dojo is not defined" and "Xap is not defined". It seems the
dojo.js is not included in any of the examples. Please let me know if I am
doing it wrong.

Thanks,
Vivek Jani

Hello, Vivek:

You are welcome to participate...Though XAP is on milestone 3; there are
still lots, lots, and lots of work to be done! XAP has a long way to go
to reach release 1.0...Here are the areas that would be extremely
interesting to the community:
1. Adding new widgets: XAP is still missing many widgets...how about
some effect widgets (animation, fading, etc)?
2. Add a new widget toolkit: XAP uses Dojo by default, but there are
other good toolkits too such as Scriptaculous...
3. Existing XAP widgets are not quite done yet ... there will need more
attributes and additional functionalities..
4. Building one or two XAP apps and share it with the community...

One example is that RockStarApps.com who has built some quite amazing
XAP apps. For example:

http://www.rockstarapps.com/samples/map-compare (application use the
Apache XAP project to integrate all three mapping technologies into one
interface to compare their functionality and UI).

It is definitely worthy of checking out...
