When:
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN"
"http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd";>
is set, table columns don't align properly in IE. Based on the examples, this
seems to be the proper doctype. If no doctype is set, which puts the browser
into "quirks" mode, everything is fine.
