Numerous changes to get value/text write-back to the UI document right.
Basically, getting
the "onChange" broadcasting right:
list option item --> listbox [--> combobox] .
This is imposed by dojo event connection from above, so (as a consequence)
listboxes don't have to know much about any combobox[es]' owning them.
TODO: Warning: some bits of the older, kludged, way of doing this might still
be
around. They should be removed once we can afford to break this again.
