James,

Thanks for taking care of the implementation required to make XAP Open
Ajax Compliant. I have uploaded the compliance test to the website.

Subject: OpenAjax Hub/OpenAjax Compliance

Hello fellow XAP developers:

You probably have heard of OpenAjax Alliance (http://www.openajax.org
<http://www.openajax.org/> ), an industry alliance with 69 member
entities that includes open source projects as well as commercial
vendors aiming to help advance the development of Ajax. A major
achievement from OpenAjax Alliance is the initial completion of
OpenAjaxHub (http://openajaxallianc.sourceforge.net/), which aims to
enable the interoperability of client side Ajax runtimes;

OpenAjax Alliance plans to launch an OpenAjax InteropFest at the
upcoming AjaxWorld Conference (http://www.ajaxworldexpo.com/) and
OpenAjax F2F meeting on March 22nd and 23rd in NYC. The InteropFest will
demonstrate the Ajax runtimes that conforms to OpenAjax Alliance
(specifically at the moment, conforms to OpenAjaxHub). There will be
press releases and press coverage for this important event - it is
definitely a good event from the XAP community to be part of. Currently
there are quite a few Ajax runtimes already claimed compliance with
OpenAjax Hub (for example, I heard jQuery etc).

I strongly recommend XAP developers to take a look at this. The actual
work required is relatively straightforward and simple in my guess - it
requires XAP to register itself using OpenAjax Hub, register its global
variables, etc. So that a customer can deploy both XAP and another
OpenAjax compliant toolkit on the same page without conflicts. More
instruction is at:

Would anyone volunteer to work on this? I don't think it is a huge
undertaking and it would definitely benefit the XAP community...best
regards,
