just FYI... conventionally apache project use prefixes to allowing people to prioritorize emails. on busy lists, this helps a lot but it's also allow convey nuance. for example, when i start a thread with [VOTE] i'm pretty confident that the issue has been reduced to a simple choice and want to push a vote. [PROPOSAL] is a little less decisive than [VOTE] but more than [DISCUSS]. [DISCUSS] means that i'm not so strongly convinced i have a solution and the proposed solution may be a strawman.
traditionally, release VOTEs are prefixed [VOTE] so that people don't miss them (i suppose i should mention that i started with just FYI since i considered just correcting the subject on the thread but in the end, hey, it's your list and it's up to you to pick up what works for you. on the general list at the incubator, i would probably just have edited the subject.) - robert
