A heads up & FYI. (It is a good thing that this ended up in my XASTIR

The lesstif2 package on which your package depends or build-depends is
destined to be removed from the archive before the release of Jessie.
More information can be found in the Debian wiki [1].

Please update your package to build against the motif package instead.
In most cases this can be done by simply replacing the build-depends on
lesstif2-dev with libmotif-dev, however please do verify proper
behaviour before uploading.

Xastir should configure/build just fine with Motif if Motif -libs and -devel
packages are installed; With LessTif if the Lesstif -libs and -devel packages
are installed. It should be just a matter of tweaking the .deb package to
spell out different dependencies. I don't mess with DEB packages so wouldn't
be the one fixing it.

For RPM packages it would be the *.spec.in files that would need to change (not directly
relevant to this thread, but an example of a "package" file).

On OpenSUSE-12.1 I have these RPM files installed, which make Xastir compile
with Motif instead of Lesstif:

  openmotif-devel-2.3.2-8.1.3.x86_64
  openmotif-libs-2.3.2-8.1.3.x86_64

I hope that helps the Debian package maintainer to figure out the fixes for his
.deb package.
