No worries Curt, I'll still pester you guys for changes... after all
I'm still waiting for my pos2object code.
I'm running Mac OSx the latest and greatest and fastest growing distro
on the planet, and yes I have a really nice clock in my tool bar but
again the request was for one on Xastir so that when I used the
snapshot function (http://kaiserklan.com/snapshot.png) which I use all
the time, it would have a timestamp of when it was captured.
I use 'Automator' to move the snapshot from tmp to another location
then automator uploads it to my website automagically. The only thing
missing is knowing the date/time of the upload. Curt and others have
pointed me at a way to change this I just need to learn a bit more
Perl to accomplish it... HI HI.
Thanks guys....

Mmmm, I think most of us have either a GNOME or KDE toolbar across
either the top or bottom of each desktop that has a clock in it -
amongst many other things. Are you running a 'down sized' distro?
What desktop manager do you use?

On the other hand, adding the time to the upper or lower, right
hand side of the title bar would not exactly be intrusive would it.
I wasn't thinking of a watermark but a clock running on in Xastir
and showing the time in one of the title bars.
