This is what I use (sent as a single line) to send weather data to xastir. The data is massaged into the correct format from collected text info.

/usr/local/bin/xastir_udp_client localhost 2023 vk2wet-1 21162 -to-inet "TAREE>APRS:=3153.40S/15230.60E_270/007g009t052r000p073P000h95b10255"

That information is in a file I call about every ten minutes using cron.

Perhaps have a cron entry kick off a message with xastir_udp_client?

Good afternoon,

My weather system is a davis one wire. However it is directly connected to
my home monitoring system. I have a serial connection to that box and it
kicks to me in a serial stream the wind Direction, Speed and temperature.

I have been able to build the APRS weather string on my linux box where
xastir resides. CDan I put this data string some place for the system to
pick it up or set it up in another format for it to pick it up and push it
out.
