I do this throwing of objects from an external program into Xastir's UDP server port routinely, and it does work as Curt describes. Make sure Xastir and your injected objects are both using exactly the same callsign and SSID, and Xastir should adopt the object. It should show up in the "Own Objects&Items" list, and Xastir *will* retransmit them according to its decaying algorithm. If it's not doing so for you, there could be some mismatch between the callsign/ssid, OR perhaps you're not giving the right callpass? -- Tom Russo KM5VY SAR502 DM64ux http://www.swcp.com/~russo/ Tijeras, NM QRPL#1592 K2#398 SOC#236 http://kevan.org/brain.cgi?DDTNM "It is better to live on your feet than to die with your knees." -- Mil Millington on running, in Instructions for Living Someone Else's Life _______________________________________________ Xastir mailing list [email protected] http://lists.xastir.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/xastir
