To keep it semi-on-topic, does Xastir do any sort of multiple windows? Or is it all a single tracking window?
At the moment, one. You can start up more Xastir apps and connect them to the first using a command-line flag to use different config directories. I often do that for events so that I can have two different views on my screen.
How easy do you think the xastir OSM rendering component would be to port to Windows?
The Shapefile rendering? Probably not all that difficult. One of the oddnesses of Shapefiles is that areas can have holes, and the direction of the vertices around the shape specifies whether it is a filled area or a hole. If you can handle that, the rest should be relatively easy. -- Curt, WE7U. <http://www.eskimo.com/~archer> APRS: Where it's at! <http://www.xastir.org> Lotto: A tax on people who are bad at math. - unknown Windows: Microsoft's tax on computer illiterates. - WE7U.
