I'm getting good data coming in. Mine looks a lot like yours. However, when I go to view > mobile stations, I found my radio in my car which is on. When I click on it, nothing shows up on the map. If I click on a Houston station, (I'm in Austin), the map will go to Houston but no stations show up. I'm getting all of my data of the net right now because I can't get an anteena outside right at the moment.

Here is a check to make sure xastir is actually getting understandable data

bunch of lines with packets appearing. Mine shows (coming from an internet

If you don't see anything or see complete garbage then something isn't right
between xastir and the TNC. (If you are seeing stations you should also see
announcements for new stations flash on the lower left of the screen.) If
you are seeing stations, then it is likely a display issue. Knowing which
will point us in the right direction.

Since you are on a Mac and I mentioned the "All Stations" menu item before-
depending on when the source code you grabbed is from xastir could crash
when you close the stations window on a Mac. If that happens you will have
to run "killall xastir" on the command line before you start up again or you
will see odd behavior. (The fix was checked in on 21st, and it looks like
the source package on sourceforge is from the 16th, so it is likely you
don't have the fix.)

I am fairly sure that my TNC is working correctly (since on almost every rx

have
tried to change the bps to make sure that that was not the problem, but

I have checked the Filter Data, and all seems fine as well. Any help would

appreciated.

Another thing you could try is pulling up the station list and clicking (or
may double clicking, I forget) on the icon next to a station. That should
center the maps on that station so you can see if you were just in the
wrong
area.

  So now that I am receiving all sorts of traffic. How do I get it to show
up on the map?

Run through the options on

    Station->Filter Data
and
    Station->Filter Display

to make sure you didn't disable something important by mistake.
Some are enables, some are disables.

Note that you can click on the dashed line on those dialogs to make
them stay around a while so you can enable/disable multiple items.
