xastir deals with display of the frames themselves. for software doing psk modulation and demodulation you need some kind of external software, like soundmodem .

googling for psk software for linux , one can find stuff like gmfsk, gpsk31, kpsk, linpsk, phaseshift, psk31lx, twpsk...
