On the rotate.aprs2.net:14580 I do have the default filter m/500. on the other port I have m/1500. I see yellow bars on the far right of the main screen and have seen green bars also, but no data seems to flow or stations appear on the map either. I also see a very occasional red bar bottom right of the screen. I also changed call sign to kc5qbc-9 thinking it might be an ssid issue, but no joy.

You need to set up a filter first, the APRS-IS servers won't send anything
otherwise, since they don't know what you want.

Start with a simple filter, for example m/100 which will give you all stations
within 100 km if your location.

Note: for that filter to work you need to set up your position in Xastir, and
report it to the APRS-IS server at least once.

New user install here in progress. I'm seeing festival errors and resolve
problems to mesonet.tamu.edu after configuring a net port of
rotate.aprs2.net:14580. I just see no dataflow, so I added a second port
rotate.aprs.net:14580 without the filter parameters and both are showing up
status, but still no data flow. Any suggestions?
