I had copied the file using
"sudo scp [email protected]:/home/pi/.xastir/config/xastir.cnf
/home/pi/.xastir/config"
-rw-r--r-- 1 pi pi 15064 Dec 22 21:08 xastir.cnf original
-rw-r--r-- 1 pi pi 15064 Mar 31 02:56 xastir.cnf copy
I only know of three ways to start a program on the RasPi and I tried all three
using xastir -v 4095 2>&1 | less
1. From the command prompt Before starting the GUI
When trying this I get lots of lines that start with "Code #" and at the
end....
LANG 1141
Error: Can't open display:
I was expecting that since Xastir is a graphical program.
2. Using LXTerminal within the GUI
When I try this I get the same lines starting with "Code #"
Couldn't open the file for reading:
/home/pi/.xastir/config/tactical_calls.log
XReadBitmapFile() failed: Bitmap not found? /usr/local/share
xastir/symbols/2x2.xbm
3. Using the RUN prompt within the GUI
When using this the RUN window just closes with no errors
All this was done using the same image of the OS, the same .deb install file
and logging in with the same User and Password and running on the same
hardware. I wish I had made a copy of the file before it was overwritten by the
copy.
