Hooray! Chalk up another black mark on the IM side. Years ago the developers talked about actually removing the IM support in Xastir and requiring GM instead. At that time, there were still Linux distros that could not have both IM and GM installed simultaneously, and some users needed IM as a dependency for other programs. So the discussion ended there. Perhaps it's time to have that discussion again. IM is becoming a source of more problems with every release. Chasing down those incompatibilities was a source of "ifdef bloat" for several years as we tried to keep compatible with multiple versions of IM. And their latest releases all seem to require major changes in Xastir's raster rendering code to work --- and that ain't going to happen given the availability of developer time (unless we have some volunteers from the user community). > On Thu, May 7, 2015 at 8:43 AM, Tom Russo <[1][email protected]> wrote: > > On Thu, May 07, 2015 at 08:34:51AM -0600, we recorded a bogon-computron > collision of the <[2][email protected]> flavor, containing: > >** ** Osm_tiled_mapnik loads and it shows that it downloads the tiles > on the > >** ** bottom left, but I don't see anything on the screen other than > worldhi.
