Hi peter,

Maybe I missed what you were trying to do as well.

Each ax port can be shared by many programs, just point each program to ax2 and both of them will use the radio.

For a while when I was running a bbs, and trying to stir up some local interest in aprs, I had both fbb and xastir sharing the same radio on a very quiet local channel.

Hello Peter,

The Xastir / FBB / Uronode all run on the same box on debian
8.7.1. the Xastir at the moment is logged into a aprs2 server so no
problem there.
What I want to do is to transfr the data from radio, thru a pipe maybe
to Xastir and if possible back the other way. In other words, a
bi-directional pipe.

But what data from the radio (on the FBB/UroNode) would you want to send
into the APRS-IS side? It would need to get special formatting to make
the data acceptable on the APRS servers. Once there, what would consume
that data?

Hi David,

Sorry, you miss the point, I want the RADIO data to appear on my Xastir running here, APRS-FI has nothing to do with it at all.
