If you expand your thinking beyond typical ARPS use and think of more general GIS-related data that could be useful (e.g. in emergency situations, for much broader overall WX awareness), firenet is a source for that sort of data. I prefer more verbose data about severe weather than is currently available on APRS-IS; this is available on firenet.
