Near the bottom of this page (see link below) 4 ways to run xastir on windows 
are listed. Simply said you will end up actually end up running xastir on some 
form of linux under windows or enabling unix on windows 10 to run xastir. This 
is not a simple click and install. You may be better off running one of the 
really old winaprs installs that will be quite different from xastir but may 
give you the ability to look at aprs traffic through a different interface.
About the middle of the page a link shows a bootable image that allows you to 
run linux/xastir without actually installing.

If wrong, is there a MS client with xastir like capabilities?  Friend
over the mountain would like to join in on the RF side with old school
tnc and USB GPS dongle.
