Apologies all, my day job has been making me work for the last 2 years or
so, and I've not offloaded this email to my personal acct, where I MIGHT
have a better chance of following it.

The change to radar dissemination has been in the works for the last 5
years, but there was little consideration of some of the non-traditional
clients (e.g., ham operators, SAR teams, etc) who use the services. Indeed,
a lot of good science and a lot of good coding, and a LOT of money for
servers has gone into the R&D and operational rollout of the new radar
dissemination service. In fact, the development is done literally down the
hall from me (or it was down the hall when we left the building a year ago.

Developers: Can we talk about what you want/need? I might be able to help
with, at least individual radar sites, and might also be able to recreate
the WMS and maybe even a real WCS service that provides the data.

I can set up a Google Meet one evening, or during the day if that's more
reasonable. I will say I'm retiring toward the end of the summer... at that
point the Day Job is no longer an issue unless they figure some way to
recall me to service!
