Just to be clear, the first "something concrete" is going to be the
use cases, as outlined by Ian; right?

To quote him:

"Our first step in this project is going to be to work on these use
cases before we think about cutting code."

I could see doing one or more blog posts on this, which could provide
opportunity for users on different apps to comment on.
