Hi,

So is it blocked also for you now?

Hi,

Yes, they are blocking the scraper.
I saw there is a method of spoofing, is it simple to add into the scraper or
does it require a rewrite?

Hi Vago,

Please see the attached zip. I think this should be close to what you want... ;)

However, for me it's working only if I modify the useragent. If it works for
you, then sratim is probably allowing xbmc to connect only from Israel.

and please don't forget to use "reply to all", so you cc the mailing list as
well to your replies...

Hi,

No, it's not a Beta2 issue.
I did not commit your fixes yet, since the scraper is not complete, so it's
still marked as broken in the offical repository.

I will commit only if all the fixes are done, translations are OK and (if it
requires), you merged your work with the other guy.

Thank you for your continous efforts, keep up the good work!

Best regards,
Bence

Hi,

The scraper is working for me.
Btw, there is a 2nd guy that is working on it and we try to complete each other.
He also got some progress yesterday and the tmdb fanart was working (before I
broke it).
He’s last night work – which I haven’t inspected yet is located at -
http://www.2shared.com/document/XJFEW0hm/sratim.html

I’ve pasted imdb translation as is by mistake – I’ll fix it.

The only annoyance at the moment is the “broken” sratim addin message that pops
up and the unability to enable it easily.
But I’m guessing this is a beta2 issue that is or was already resolved.

hi,

no worries, we appreciate all the efforts on scrapers, but we also need to make
sure only completed and good quality code hits to offical repo.

So again, your last scrapers have the translations from IMDb scraper which is
not OK. Please include the translations for sratim from scraper git:
http://xbmc.git.sourceforge.net/git/gitweb.cgi?p=xbmc/scrapers;a=tree;h=000ecc5adb320d0bc959b8c8bbe5a1edc38e53e3;hb=000ecc5adb320d0bc959b8c8bbe5a1edc38e53e3

Also please fix the tmdb fanart.

Nevertheless, does the scraper actually work for you? I get "Unable to connect
remote server" error because sratim is blocking XBMC (if I cange the useragent
it's OK - so it surely seems a blocking).

The new Sratim website is still unfinished and they are working on an API to
allow proper scraping.
Maybe that’s why we’re getting strange/slow behavior.

If we’ll have additional issues with them maybe (since I already started
getting into it) I’ll write a new one for getting the info from another website
(torec).

Please don't request inclusion of half-ready scrapers with broken functions.

Now the languages from IMDb scraper is included in your scraper. Why?

But we have a bigger problem now:
sratim seems started to block XBMC.

Hi Vago,

Thanks, some comments:

 - there is an additional language on git (PL iirc), please add it to your
addon.xml
 - sratim.xml contains "Includes" and "GetSettings" section which doesn't
needed any more in the addons structure. Also the header tags are including
tags which are now defined in the addon.xml. Please remove these.
 - you set common.imdb scraper library as a dependency in addon.xml but you
don't use it (you could for trailers by the way... see e.g how imdb scraper is
calling the common library for trailer function).
 - Please change the way you call tmdb for fanarts (to "chain function" - see
again e.g how imdb scraper is doing it)
 - Please add a LICENCE.txt file to the folder (you can copy it from other
scrapers)
 - There is a removed setting for IMDb ranking. If you want to remove this
function, please remove the setting completely, because it doesn't look good on
the GUI

Cheers,
Bence
