I have made a disk mounter for xbmcLive (xbmc-live oriented installations).
It can:
temporaly mount any available partitions. (by executing the diskmounter script)
remove nodiskmount from grub
add nodiskmount to grub
The idea is that it should improve the experience for "normal end-users" . As
you can see mounting issues is one of the top 10 questions in the forum.
I want to know if there is any interest before I do any more work. It has to go
into the official repository or better into LiveCD. Otherwise there is no
point, it wouldn't reach any of the potential users.
The status right now is that it is working but there is little error handling
and no validation of the result. (no exceptions so far though). A few people
have tested it already.
