Hi,
I've noticed that currently to use any software from an un-official
repository, you must manually download the repository addon as a zip
file and install from zip which is quite annoying for new users.

Would it be possible for these repository addons to be included in the
official repository, to make it easier for users to install a custom
repository (with a full disclaimer or warning of course), while still
keeping out the actual addons that these repositories host?

I except that having only access to the custom repositories from the
official repository would be just like linking to it, as is already
done on the XBMC Wiki (
http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Unofficial_Add-on_Repositories )

Thanks,
