Ok, cptspiff tracked down the problem, thank him for the quick help.

You can't use a "special://skin/media/...*" path for images, as those
don't work when they are xbt'd. Please fix all references (all 1322 of
em) and bump version, and I'll pull.

Hint: git grep "special://skin/media.*png"

I'll add this to my list of filters so it doesn't happen again.
