Hi Lev,
are you planning to maintain this scraper for a long(er) term? In this case
I would pull the scraper from your repo instead of just applying the patch.
Also, since the original author(s) disappeard and you changed significant
part of the scraper to make it work I would say you can credit yourself as
author.
