I use the same code base for all releases. The only difference between Dharma and Eden version is that Eden version requires python 2.0. I only change this one line in addon.xml in the tagged Eden code.
I hope this is ok for you, but the addon is still under heavy development and 95% of the changes are valid for all XBMC versions. I decided that maintaining three or four branches and merging the code before every release is more work than making it compatible once.
