First thank you for the python module.
Sorry to hear you are getting bothered by people who have problems with the
addon which uses this python module.
They shouldn't as that is of course not your problem. Probably they see
some error in the debuglog which also mentions xbmctodict and then start
searching.
Let me explain something about how we use outside modules.
We package them as an XBMC addon module as we do not support installing
these within our program the normal python way.
So that why we package the original code into an addon which others then
can import and use.
As for packaging we always ask to give credit to the original devs instead
of providing the packagers name. Theer should of course not be any e-mail
address included.
I have pushed out an update which in first instance will remove your e-mail
address and bump the version to 0.9.0 (instead of 0.8.6).
Hoppefully this will solve the problem people contacting you.
