Hi,
Please can I suggest that you also enable the addon to run as a script as
well, this way it will also work with RandomScreensaver:
http://kodi.wiki/view/Add-on:RandomScreensaver
It should be as simple as adding:
<extension point="xbmc.python.script" library="screensaver.py" />
Into the addon.xml - but AFTER the existing xbmc.uk.screensaver one (It
need to be after it, not before if you want it's primary role to continue
to be a screensaver - which I assume you do!)
