That is another issue, but perhaps indeed a bit strange and worth addressing. If auto-flipView is off, one would not expect the board orientation to spontaneously change. It seems, however, that auto-flipView is not considered a relevant option in game-viewer mode, as it is grayed out in the General Options dialog. I don't know what the reason is for switching back to white POV when a new game is loaded.
