Well, the problem with the initial sizing seems to be solved, and we
actually
made great progress in handling piece themes and board textures. The latest
version is in the XBoard git repository at winboard.nl, as I still have
to sync
with Savannah before I can push there.
The version there seems to be suitable for release as 4.9.0.
