Blue Hills Trail report...

Good early-season skate-skiing Wednesday afternoon (December 6) with
temperatures in the teens. This area has received 16 inches of snow
since November 12. The base is solid, topped off with this morning's
fresh 1-inches of powder-snow.  Most of the skiing is on packed snow;
in some areas on an icy base with snow cover on the trail ranging from
to 3 inches. Some of the most consistent conditions are available from
1 to 21. Small bare spots and occasional rocks are still visible --
rock skis are still in order.

Grooming of the entire EastSideTrail & WestSideTrail is anticipated
December 7 using a snowmobile and roller. Most of the EastSideTrail was
packed and rolled November 29; the back loops of the system (beyond #9)
have not been groomed. A striding lane will be set when more snow
arrives.
