I agree with what seems to be the opinion of at least a few skiers sending e-mail: Blue Mound is for classic style this year. I caught up to a couple guys skating on what's obviously a great set track for stride. I tried to explain the aesthetics, but I'm not sure I was getting through. I skied on.

Several times while skiing there I have had skaters very rudely
pass me by with their skiis crossing over right in front of me. The
worst of it, which has happened several times, is when their pole
has come right in front of my face!
I have voiced my opinion to them, but they just went on their merry
way.
My opinion is that I could care less if someone skates, it's their choice.
But they should be considerate when passing, and also not to cut up
the classic tracks for those of us to like them.
I would like to see Blue Mound remain classic style trails.
