SKIING & SNOW CONDITIONS:
Excellent.
GENERAL SNOW & WEATHER CONDITIONS:
A complete trail grooming was done this morning. We have a firm 20 inch base, and no
ice. We received 3-4 inches of a light fluffy snow today. Skate lanes were regroomed
tonight and tracks will be reset in the AM.<br><br>Note:<br>We have over 11 feet of
SNOW.<br>We have been grooming morning and night, The groomers have logged 2845
km.<br>We have been open 49 days of this season.<br>We would not lie about conditions
to trick you. (It's not worth the $5 trail fee.)<br>We do not have a ski lodge or
hotel we are trying to fill, we groom ski trails to perfection, and then keep the fire
going in our warming cabin and sell trail passes.<br>New for this season are rentals
ski and snowshoe and new indoor flush toilets, first aid room and a wax
room.<br><br><br>

ABR/CCSAA MIDWEST GROOMING CLINIC
The Clinic:
The Clinic is designed to gather cross country groomers (experienced and
inexperienced) and vendors to share ideas and demo equipment for grooming cross
country ski trails. The clinic will include equipment demonstration technique
demonstration, seminars, discussion and hands on grooming. we have interest from over
12 equipment suppliers including a new twin track Snowmobile with a pull behind power
tiller.
1. Who should attend???? people who groom xc ski tails or who want to groom xc ski
trails.
2. Why should you attend???? there will be acollection of grooming implements to
demo, there will be groomers from around the Midwest to compare notes with, including
some of the most experinced groomers.
3. What will you learn?
How do I make my Skandic SWT steer?
How can I set tracks in boiler plate with my snowmobile?
What does a power tiller do that my drags don't do?
How do I firm up 20 inches of fresh snow in 2 pass grooming?
When do I roll, pack, drag and finish?
Snowcat basic maintenance and safety.
What are the 3 most important factors in setting a firm track?
Where can I find an affordable Snowcat and how to justify it?
