CROSS COUNTRY SKI TRAIL REPORT
January 5, 2001
CURRENT WEATHER: Temps. moderate in the high 20s near 30.
FORECAST: Continued highs in the 20s. Chance of light snow Saturday and Sunday.
ABR TRAILS - Ironwood, MI Trails
All trails groomed on 1/3. Additional 3-4" snow on Wed. Skate lanes regroomed and tracks re-set on 1/4. Regular new snows have conrtibuted to a 20" base. Conditions: Excellent.
AFTERHOURS CROSS COUNTRY SKI TRAIL - Brule, WI
Groomed on 1/4. Track set on 1/5. Conditions: Excellent.
AMERICAN BIRKEBEINER TRAIL - Cable/Seeley/Hayward, WI
The entire trail was groomed and tracked on Jan.4. Conditions: Excelent.
The American Birkebeiner Trail will be groomed with every three inches of fresh snowfall. The trail will also be groomed every Thursday for weekend skiing. It should be noted that anticipated snowfall could change this grooming schedule based on the Trail Supervisor's discretion.
