Minocqua Winter Park is putting on an end of season carnival. They decided to do it just last weekend. I'm forwarding the information to xc@danenet to help get the word out. Sorry if you already got this direct from MWP. Skiing was great at MWP last weekend. I would expect good conditions for the carnival. I hope a lot of people can make the trip up from madison. March 31st and April 1st is the Minocqua Winter Park Spring Carnival.
All skiers will ski and eat for free.
The weekend is full of many fun events. There will be a Frisbee throwing contest, an orienteering contest, a three legged race, gate race, and much more. Prizes for some of the events include a season pass for the following ski season. We will be grilling our tasty burgers outside for your enjoyment, also serving subway sandwiches, muffins and more
If you have not experienced spring skiing, this season and the Spring Carnival may be the time. Sunshine and warm temperatures make it possible to enjoy the whole day outside. Spring offers some of the best skiing of the season . The trails are still in excellent shape with great snow coverage.
The best way to break into spring is with a party!
