AFTERHOURS SKI TRAIL - Brule River State Forest
Brule, WI
Trail conditions are still very good for skate skiing and good for classical skiing. The base appears to be 10" or more on most of the trail. On two of the bridges and it was 10". Since  warm air can get under the bridge, the base is much thicker on other parts of the trail. There were two spots on River Trail that had melted down to  leaves but can easily be skied around. The classical track was still surprisingly usable.

As previously stated, the Brule Forest staff will not be grooming the trail anymore this season. The warming shelter has been locked. A trail pass is no longer required this season.

AMERICAN BIRKEBEINER TRAIL
Cable/Seeley/Hayward, WI
No longer grooming though base is still good. Depending on rain and temps, skiing is still be possible.

BLUE HILLS TRAIL
Bruce, WI
Saturday's one-inch snowfall (March 31) made for soft, sticky conditions
yesterday -- but skiing this morning (April 1st) was fabulous -- possibly the most enjoyable skiing of the season!  Yesterday's clouds cleared overnight, temperatures dropped to below twenty degress F, and the snow dried out.  As a result, this morning's skiing under sunny skies found a firm base, a smooth surface, one inch of new snow, excellent edge control, and fairly fast skating.  In most areas, the base is probably still a foot deep despite mild temperatures allowing shirtsleeve exercise.  Other than bare spots on steep, sun-exposed
hills, the base is holding up well.

LADYSMITH HIGH SCHOOL LIGHTED XC TRAIL
Ladysmith, WI
As of mid-day on March 31, there was a continuous packed base and new
snow accumulating on the LHS Trail. It has not been groomed recently
and no further grooming is planned this season. The base is thin, in
spots, on south facing slopes and could melt out there and on the
athletic field in the next warm spell. The lights are turned off but
daylight savings skiing should be possible.

TELEMARK SKI TRAILS
Cable, WI
No longer grooming and trails technically closed, though bases are still good. Depending on rain and temps, skiing may still be possible.

WOLVERINE NORDIC
Ironwood, MI
The Wolverine Nordic Ski club has stopped grooming our ski trails on Thurs.
April 5, 2001. Trails will still be open for skiing.
