Have you ever wanted to learn about ROWING?  Here's your chance!  Come
to

        National Learn to Row Day
        Saturday, May 19
        10am - 2 pm

        Mendota Rowing Club
        622 E. Gorham St.
        (east end of James Madison Park)

The Club's boathouse is the big white building with green trim.

FREE activities include:
- Opportunity to row in an 8-person shell
- Learn how to row correctly on a rowing machine
- Learn about the boats and equipment
- Tour the Mendota Rowing Club boathouse


Rowing, like skiing, is a technique and fitness sport.  The basics are
not difficult, but you can keep improving for years and still have room
to improve.  It's a full body workout, involving legs, back, shoulders
and arms.  Madison's rowing season complements the ski season and is
typically from April through October.

The Mendota Rowing Club also offers four-week beginning rowing classes
during May through August.  Call 257-2739, or email me to find out more
about the classes.
