Thought I should let you know about upcoming events and I needed to
resend the attachments regarding the big Norway trip which most folks couldn't
open. So...
- Check out one of the attachments for the March 2002 intinerary to Norway. This will be a fantastic trip and I can't wait for March to get here. Maybe I'll classic ski the Birkie this year just to get ready for the Norwegian version.
- For the first time, MadNorSkis can race in their own club lycra. Club members, Ben Neff and Dirk Mason have designed a MadNorSki racing suit from Louis Garneau. Look for a follow-up e-mail tomorrow that has a graphic of the suit. If you are interested in owning one of these cool items, there will be two fitting sessions. The first will be from 5-6 pm, this Thursday October 25th at Elver Park with the dryland training group. The second session will be 9 -10 am this Saturday, October 27th also at Elver Park. Dirk Mason will have the fit kit from Louis Garneau so you'll know just what it will look like. So, mark down these fitting times and look for the e-mail with the hot new club design. Orders will need to be placed the first week of November to get them in time for the race season.
- Club Jackets! Remember last season when I took a whole bunch of orders for club jackets? I dutifully kept your e-mails in a separate folder so that I could order this fall. Well, my hard disk failed and I've been unable to recover your club jacket requests. So, please get back to me if you are still interested in placing an order. I do backups now.
- Set aside whatever time you have from 9am to 2pm, on Saturday, November 3rd, to clean up Elver. Lots of help is needed at Elver this year for trail brushing and maintenance. I ran the trails this weekend and in general it all looks great but there are many areas with encroaching vegetation. We'll have the implements of destruction so just show up ready to whack the weeds.
- The first club meeting of the year is Monday, November 12th, 6:30 pm at RMT off of Old Sauk Road. Same place as last year. We'll have assorted beverages and other goodies while you sign up for trips, races, hob nob with area vendors, and visit with old and new friends.
Thanks and I hope you are enjoying this fine autumnal weather.
