Snow & Trail Conditions at The Telemark Lodge New Snow: 0" Surface snow: Densely Pack week-old snow - Machine Groomed KM Open: 30 of 65 KM Trackset: 11 KM Skate Groomed: 30 Hours: 9:00 am - 4:00 pm # of Trails: 6 Cross country ski trails are packed to a 3 inch (low spots) to 7 inch base (high elevations) . At this time 30 kilometers of the 65K trail system are rolled and open for skiing. Six trails are open. Conditions are good. The temperature dropped to below freezing overnight. Daytime temperatures in the 40s are predicted through Wednesday. The trails will not be re-groomed until the temperatures drop in order to save the snow cover for the weekend. New snow and lower temperatures are predicted late in the week and into the weekend. The Birkebeiner 2, 4, 5 & 7 K loops and the Tony Wise Trail are groomed for skating classical skiing. There are a total of 11K of track skiing. The Sven Wiik and Caldwell World Cup trails are groomed for skating, but are not tracked. Two kilometers of the new Treland Trail have been packed, but not tracked. The Kortelopet Trail, from the Tony Wise at about 18K to the Valhalla Townhouses at 22K has been rolled and may be skied two-way for the present. The Bill Koch Trail has been rolled. The Tubing and Snowboarding slopes are not open. Some snowshoe trails are broken in already. Telemark is open for recreation, lodging and dining seven days a week.
