Hello All, On Saturday, January 19th, the Friends of Governor Dodge State Park and the park staff are sponsoring their 3rd Annual Candlelight Ski, Hike and Snowshoe at the Cox Hollow Lake trailhead from 6pm until 9pm. In the event of good snow conditions, there will be separate trails for ski-ing (beginner's 1.5 mile Lakeview Trail) and hiking/snowshoeing (on the lake). In the (unlikely?) event of poor snow conditions, the hike will still go forward. If there is a clear sky, because of the dim moon phase, star viewing will be excellent on the lake hiking trail!
Hot refreshments and water will be available for free (donations accepted!). The Dodgeville High School chapter of Save the Rain Forest will be selling food and dessert. There is a warming hut (Kiwanis concession stand), heated restrooms and a bonfire. Thanks -- and THINK SNOW!!
