This message is being forward to you from the American Birkebeiner Ski Foundation, re: the current condition of the Birkie Trail.

Current Trail Conditions

GROOMING REPORT

Wednesday, February 14th

In order to preserve the current condition of the trail we are closing the north section of the trail effective immediately. Skiers can still ski on the trail south of "OO". There are also many other beautiful cross country ski trails in the area. We invite you to visit www.norwiski.com for a list of area ski trails and conditions on those trails. Thank you for your cooperation.

During the final days before the race all efforts are being directed at course preparation for race day. Course conditions are very good north of "OO" and good south of "OO". Daytime temperatures have not been softening the snow, and some areas of the trail are icy. Some portions of the trail have branches and debris on the course due to strong winds earlier this week. A work crew will be removing the debris from trail prior to race day.
