With a 6+ inch snowfall on Tuesday and additional accumulation on Wed., the American Birkebeiner has been extended to a 45 km race with a finish in Duffy's field near Hayward (just before the lake).
The Kortelopet will run on its new course with a finish at Telemark Resort (23km). Both events will start at the Cable Union Airport. Opening Ceremonies, Elite Sprints, and Barnebirkie are now planned to be on-snow events in Hayward at their originally scheduled times. I assume the Cheq. 10K will be on its original course and time as well. This information was taken from press releases issued by the ABSF this morning.
